Jeff Staple and Nike Skateboarding will be expanding their partnership by releasing the Nike SB Dunk Low Black Pigeon that celebrates both the 15th Anniversary of the SB Dunk and 20th Anniversary of Staple.
Creative visionary Jeff Staple was the man behind this 2005 Nike SB Dunk colourway. His Nike SB Dunk Low changed the game and came to symbolise the best of street-inspired footwear. What better theme than the pigeon, which is synonymous with the urban jungle.
Considered one of the all-time greats, and without a doubt a grail for collectors, the Nike SB Pigeon launches as part of the SB Dunk’s 20th anniversary as well as the 20th anniversary of Staple Design.
This pair stays true to the original with a black slate upper. As Jeff puts it, “just let the Pigeon be the story”. Hits of vibrant red feature to the outsole as well as the tongue branding. A unique pigeon motif is embroidered across the heel.
Jeff has teamed up with Extra Butter for a one-day pop-up shop on Tuesday, November 7th at 125 Orchard St. NYC at the special Reed Space location. A wider release for the Nike SB Dunk Low “Black Pigeon” will become available on November 11th at select Nike Skate shops. The retail price tag is set at $110 USD.
