In a trice, the BOOST cushion technology has been used in Adidas basketball shoes for several year, from Ross 5 to Crazy Explosive series, then to present Harden series and hot Yeezy Boost series, they are used Boost insole.
If the shoes have the white Boost insole, then it should be very comfortable. The subject of this issue Marquee Boost Low also has Boost insole and is low type.
Although it’s low type, the MARQUEE BOOST LOW has good ankle supporting performance. On the heel tendon part, it has the stiff reinforcing tail, as the material is combined with soft fabric, it’s comfortable.
The half sole is fabric vamp. There is no plastic part on the vamp. And the top of half sole don’t have the hot-melting reinforcement. So it doesn’t have good protection to the toes. But comparing with other normal shoes, after standing on tiptoe, it’s rarely can be saw the fold on the half sole of MARQUEE BOOST. Comparing with the black and white knitted shoe head, the black knitted material of shoe tongue is thinner, but its hardness is higher, so the shoes can be able to resist the deformation under stress.
My favorite part of MARQUEE BOOST is the thick and soft shoe tongue. Its shape and material is similar to pillow. It’s very comfortable when wearing.
The colorway is black, white and gray. The appearance is simple, but the details of Marquee Boost is good, such as the red lines on the heelpiece. There is a coordinate on the inner side of vamp. This coordinate is New York, it’s decorated with the cement color. It should want to extrude the biggest Adidas exclusive shop in the world, Adidas NYC FLAGSHIP.
Marquee Boost uses the newest Boost technology. In the shoemaking technically, it has some improvements. The most obvious part is the radian of Boost insole on the arch.
It rarely has the disadvantages. For the cushion performance, Marquee Boost keeps the good cushion of Boost, the rear sole is thicker than half sole. It’s still soft and heavy as other Boost shoes. It’s the advantages and disadvantages of Boost. But the half sole of Marquee Boost is thin, so the cushion feedback of half sole is not obvious.
As this sneaker uses Boost insole, so the weight is not light. As a low type, the unit weight of Marquee Boost is about 430g. Although it use fabric vamp and it only make hot-melting reinforcement on the first three holes, but it still can’t reduce the weight much. But after wearing, I don’t think it’s heavy. And the fabric vamp has good air permeability.
Marquee Boost has thick shoe tongue and sponge on the ankle part. Although it doesn’t have good protection on the half sole, but the overall dynamic wrapping performance and necessary vamp rigidity are excellent. For the jump shooter, the low type shoes will offer better flexibility. Due to the TPU supporting plate, the anti-torsion performance of Marquee Boost is good. The insole is stable.
As this sneaker uses big area of herringbone, so the traction performance won’t be bad, at least on wood floor. We have tested N3XT L3V3L which has similar outsole as Marquee Boost. The outsole’s friction is great.
It’s a pity that there is no protection on the half sole of Marquee Boost, and the appearance is normal. But for its present price, it’s better than mid-end shoes. The big anti-torsion plate, good air permeability, great traction and comfort cushion is very suitable for the jump shooter. It’s worthy to have a try.
