Part of Nike’s 16th annual Doernbecher collection includes a special-edition Air Force 1 release designed by 14-year-old Zion Thompson from Eugene, Oregon. She was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, or cancer of the immune system.
This offering of the Nike Air Force 1 Low features a White leather upper with a debossed pattern on the toe cap and lacestay overlays along with embroidered roses replacing the Swoosh on the sides as well as on the heels. The midsole trim and heel tab are done in a matte rose color completed with “Survivor” wording on the insoles, outsole and above the “AIR” branding on the midsole.
Look for the Nike Air Force 1 Doernbecher to release during the holiday season at select retailers and Nike.com. The full collection will be revealed alongside a limited-edition auction on November 8th at the Peter W. Scott Center.
